Mandalay is a city in Myanmar which is situated in
the Irrawaddy River. The palace is restored in the center and is surrounded by a
moat.
Most of the colonial heritage of Myanmar has been
destroyed during the Second World War, however many of the religious sites
remained wonderfully intact.
There’re a lot of things to witness in Mandalay. One
of which is the famous Mandalay Hill. It takes almost half an hour to reach the
summit of this 760 feet tall hill but passing the several sacred temples and
pagodas on your way, you might have to cover certain areas barefoot.
