Thingyan water festival is one of the biggest festivals
in Myanmar. This festival takes place somewhere between Aprils i.e. ends of
spring and arrival of summers.
In this festival, people splash water on the
passerby and on each other. This festival typically lasts for three or five days.
Children use water pistols to drench their friends, relatives and everyone
else.
The festival symbolizes cleansing of the past sins,
and captive birds and fish are also freed during this festival.
