recently opened up about its tourism. This less explored country is rich in history,
culture and tradition. As it is new to tourism, it could be a little challenging.
Hence, we have come with a guide to help you explored this beautiful country of
pagodas, beaches and stunning natural landscapes.
Unlike traditional visas which are
extremely time consuming and requires several rounds of the embassy, e-visa on
the other hand saves you from that pain. Most importantly it holds the same
validity as the traditional visa. And bonus is that you can get it anytime and
anywhere from your comfort zone
2 . Pre-Booked
Hotels
Yes, very important that you plan
your vacation right to avoid the entire last minute hotchpotch. Also, Myanmar
has only a limited budget accommodation options that sell out months I advance.
3 . USD

USD (United State Dollars) is accepted
in Myanmar widely. Also exchanging bills with local currencies are also easy
and happens almost all over the country. However, make sure to carry crisp
notes as many people refuse to accept crumpled notes.
4 . Remove
shoes inside Pagodas
As a gesture of showing respect, it
is not allowed to wear shoes inside the Pagodas. Hence, it is advisable to
carry a plastic with you. Because no matter what adventure plans you have, you
will definitely end up in one of the Pagodas for sure
5 . Mind
your Clothes
Respecting culture of a country is a
must. Burmese does not like to show off a lot of skin. Hence, avoid hot pants,
shorts, cut sleeves.
Fact: Typical Myanmar local male wears
checkered longyi (similar to lungi in India) and local female prefers to wear
longyi with a side knot (looks like wrap around skirts)
